Celebrating Excellence: CIMCN Honours Icons of Mentorship and Leadership

It was a moment of recognition and celebration as the Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria (CIMCN) gathered distinguished personalities for its Award and Induction Ceremony. The event, which brought together leaders from various sectors, showcased the Institute’s commitment to honouring those who embody mentorship, leadership, and service to humanity.
At the centre of the honours was Mr. Onaivi Collins Dania, decorated with the Award of Fellowship (FPMC) and named a Distinguished Icon of Mentorship. Also celebrated was Ms. Orija Morohunkeji Yomi, a certified educator, mentor, and coach, was honored with the Outstanding Contribution to Early Childhood Education Award and conferred the Fellowship of the Professional Mentors and Coaches (FPMC). This dual recognition highlights the Institute’s dedication to advancing early childhood education through exemplary leadership, mentorship, and professional development.
The event also acknowledged past recipients of CIMCN’s honours, including Dr. Festus Odige Erewele, Dr. Dauda Zuye-Nda Ageni, Dr. Toyin Sam-Ehemelu, Dr. Temi Ajibewa, and Mrs. Bisi Sotunde, whose contributions continue to inspire.
Speaking on behalf of the National President, Dr. Raheema Abdul-Aziz Nyako, the Director-General of CIMCN, Dr. Rotimi Mathew, reiterated the Institute’s vision of nurturing exceptional people and institutions. “We only honour individuals who are truly deserving,” he affirmed, while also highlighting the Institute’s upcoming initiatives, including the highly anticipated National Conference.
